Swarm

The year is 2250, and the bees are almost gone. A young beekeeper keeps a few failing hives on a rooftop high above the city. When a company promises a new generation of bees that can survive anything, she signs up the same day. She learns the truth inside the lab. The new bees were never meant to save the old ones. They were built to replace them, so that whoever owns the bee owns every field it touches. She breaks the lab and runs with the last of them. Terrified, they sting her, and a bee dies when it stings. What they leave in her blood gives her wings, a sting in each wrist, and a voice that ordinary bees will follow. Now the company wants its venom back, and it has made something to come and take it. Swarm is a hand-drawn science fiction superhero comic about small things that only win together.
