In the year 2626, Earth has been devastated by climate change. Clean air is no longer a basic righ it’s a subscription service only the wealthy can afford. The space corporation Cosmic Z launches a mission to the edge of the solar system. Officially, it’s a groundbreaking scientific expedition. In reality, it’s a profit driven scheme to scout and exploit extraterrestrial resources, just as Earth was once exploited. To maximize revenue, the company turns the mission into a live streamed spectacle, casting a group of popular streamers as the crew and broadcasting every moment of their journey to the public. But of course from the very beginning, things start to go wrong. This story delivers a sharp critique of unchecked capitalism, the overreliance on artificial intelligence, and the environmental destruction caused by human greed. Did I mention that all the characthers are cute antropomorfic animals?
