Alongside an increasingly dysfunctional crew—including Linda from HR, Greg the perpetually stressed quartermaster, Steve the dangerously optimistic intern, and KR-7 the compliance droid—Rex struggles to balance adventure and bureaucracy while trying to remember why he became a pirate in the first place.
What begins as a comedy about corporate piracy escalates into a galaxy-spanning conflict involving outlaw pirate captain Vex Black, the mysterious founder known only as The Shareholder, a hidden financial data core capable of collapsing governments, and the return of the legendary Black Flag Fleet—a lost armada of perfect pirates abandoned a century ago.
