Chapter 3: The Truth Between Us

CHAPTER 3 SYNOPSIS Aurelia reveals the hidden history of the Solaryn Kingdom and the disturbing truth behind Soul Flares. Although most citizens believe they have found their destined partner, genuine Soul Flares are incredibly rare. For generations, the kingdom has staged false occurrences to convince its people that their relationships were created by fate. After learning that much of Solaryn has been built upon a lie, Eryx begins to see the kingdom—and his place within it—differently. The following day, Eryx is challenged by Draevok, commander of the Royal Knights. Despite fighting with everything he has, Eryx is overwhelmed by Draevok’s superior strength. Later that night, a battered Eryx visits Aurelia. During their conversation, he realizes what he must do to become stronger. Eryx suddenly leaves to pursue this new path, but before departing, he summons two mythical beasts and commands them to remain behind and assist Aurelia with her training.
