The year is 2100. A war that lasted almost twenty years is still fresh in people's memories. World War 3, fought between humans and evos, a new race born out of a global biological attack, will be remembered as the last great war the planet has seen. A peace treaty is now being signed by every nation still standing. Jara Bint Rih fought in that war. It cost her the use of her legs and the lives of the comrades who fought beside her. Now confined to a wheelchair, she lives alone in the poor district of New York, spending her days in her friend Lucia's garage, chasing down remnants from a past she can't leave behind. Her quiet life doesn't stay quiet for long. Jara starts pulling on threads that lead straight to Meta Systems, and the closer she gets to the truth, the more it looks like her injury was never as simple as the war made it seem. A detective starts digging into her past at the same time Jara starts testing what she's still capable of, and neither the police nor Meta Systems are ready for what she finds.
