Chapter 2 : My Dad
Ray, a struggling livestreamer with almost no audience, spends another night forcing himself to perform for an empty stream—until a horror game jumpscare causes chaos, leading to a violent accident that destroys the camera his father sacrificed so much to buy for him. Instead of anger, his father responds with silent disappointment, a moment that cuts deeper than punishment.
The incident pulls Ray into memories of his past: years of invisibility, relentless bullying, and the single violent moment that changed how everyone saw him forever. Though feared rather than respected, Ray learned a dangerous lesson—attention, even negative attention, is still attention.
Years later, after a decade of chasing internet fame with little success, Ray realizes his most successful content was never his talent, but his panic, humiliation, and suffering. Yet through all those lonely nights, one loyal viewer always remained.
And that may be the most disturbing part of all.
