CHAPTER 2 : THE CALM

The day after the anomaly incident, Narumi meets Elayne and Nox at Mathema’s Café for a casual morning together. As the three settle in, an initially awkward conversation turns more personal as they learn about Elayne’s time in the Guard Order, her life outside of work, and the reason behind her desire for revenge. Their peaceful afternoon continues as they eat and talk, but the weather quickly takes a turn. An unexpected storm rolls in, sending Elayne rushing off without an umbrella while Narumi and Nox go their separate ways. As the rain pours over the city, the three return to their own lives—unaware that somewhere in the darkness, the Ashen Devil quietly lies in wait.
