Ra in his Rising

Mr Kaka brings Re back through Soweto while once again promising that Cape Town is next. A group of local youth initially see Re as foreign, but he tells them he is African too. When they speak of poverty, Re challenges the belief that money alone defines wealth. He points to animals, land, water, work and inherited knowledge as resources capable of feeding families and building freedom. Inspired, the youth call him the Sun of Fire and ask him to defend people treated as worthless because they are Black or poor. The journey continues to a Pretoria mall, where Re stops for Lion Lager during the blazing heat. He is watched, surrounded and deliberately humiliated by discriminatory thugs. Re attempts restraint, but the pressure ignites everything he has buried. He drinks the lager, tears a bus-stop pole from the ground and releases a lion roar. Rainbow Heka erupts around him as Sekmet, a male lion-fire force born from his rage and courage. The attackers flee, but the uncontrolled spectacle causes public panic. Police arrive. Re chooses to surrender rather than endanger innocent people and is taken to jail to cool down. Behind the bars, his glowing eyes and the looming lion force reveal that the title Fire King is no longer a joke. It is becoming a consequence.
