Determined to leave Jozi, Re tells Mr Kaka that Cape Town and his daughters must come first. Mr Kaka persuades him to visit Soweto before they depart, where locals jokingly call Re a foreigner and he challenges the contradiction: Cape Town is in South Africa, Egypt is in Africa, and he is African. At a lively street market, Re meets Busi. Her confidence, modern African style and enormous halo afro stop him in his tracks. Busi offers to show him “premium modern” culture, beginning a date through Jozi Crown Mall, boutiques, beauty stores, restaurants and luxury experiences. Every purchase is calmly declared “a blessing,” while Re accumulates an R54,500 trail of premium damage and Mr Kaka panics over the money meant for his services. The turning point comes when Re stops trying to impress Busi with spending. He gives her lapis lazuli prayer beads with an Eye of Ra charm, offering history, protection and sincere affection instead of another price tag. Busi understands the difference. Their romance ends warmly, but she reminds him where his heart must go: “Go to your daughters.” Busi leaves wearing the beads. Re and Mr Kaka return to the silver C-Class and face the open road. Cape Town remains the destination.
