Prabodhanam Chapter 2

PRABODHANAM — CHAPTER 2 SYNOPSIS The Question That Followed Him Chapter 2 follows Nikhil Deshmukh as his academic research begins to move beyond books, theories, and classroom discussions and into the living world of Mathura and Vrindavan. After Professor Sharma approves his research proposal, Nikhil prepares to leave Mumbai for his seven-day fieldwork journey. Although he remains an atheist and a sociology student, determined to observe faith from an academic and social perspective, the journey gradually begins to challenge the distance he has maintained between himself and the subject he is studying. On the train to Mathura, Nikhil observes fellow passengers and begins his fieldwork. A conversation with a stranger leads him to a question he cannot easily dismiss.
