Kael finally meets the mysterious man who warned him away from the Myth Beast’s lair. Scarred, broken, and nearly consumed by his own memories, the old man reveals that he once came to the island as a Beast Hunter. When Kael asks about his father, William, the man's damaged memory struggles to remember the name. But he remembers what happened inside the lair—his wife, his child, and his entire squad were swallowed by its darkness. The old Hunter warns Kael that the Myth Beasts are not peaceful creatures. Centuries of hunting, torture, and the chaining of their young have filled them with hatred toward humanity. But Kael refuses to turn back. If his father was part of the people who helped create this nightmare, Kael believes he must face the truth himself. As Kael enters the forbidden lair, the darkness awakens.
