Mrs. Margot, Her Bird, and The End of The World

For almost two years, Mrs. Margot has remained inside her apartment, tending to memories of a life once lived and caring for her only companion, a sickly parrot named Gertie. Outside, the world moves on—or, as she will soon learn, has fallen apart. When an overdue delivery forces her to step beyond her doorstep, she finds the city she once knew transformed into a desolate ruin, where familiar faces are now twisted by an unknown horror. With Gertie perched on her shoulder and an unshakable sense of dignity, Mrs. Margot sets out through the wreckage of civilization. Along the way, she encounters a lost child, forgotten echoes of the past, and a world teetering on the edge of something far worse. As reality crumbles, Mrs. Margot must face her deepest fears—and an unexpected reunion—in a journey of survival, resilience, and a final act of love.
