Melodies of the Sphere (Blood Sugar) is a graphic novel set in modern-day Kenya. At the center of the story are young characters shaped by real Kenyan youth culture—Gen Z navigating peer pressure, economic struggle, political frustration, the lure of quick money, drugs, partying, and the search for validation in a hyper-modern society. They’re influenced by everything around them: trends, celebrities, global culture, the push for fame, the noise of the internet, and the desire to belong. They look outward for meaning, not inward, and not upward. As their lives begin to crumble, some characters are forced to confront an absolute truth:" Life belongs to God." Through individual journeys, the story reveals how personal collapse eventually leads to a national collapse. The fact is that even leaders are put in place by God. This is a nation where some will eventually pursue God, and those who are pursuing their desires with active evil intent. How will this end for everyone? A country that once rooted itself in God—from Sunday school, to home teachings, to school curriculum—has drifted into a culture of self-worship, shortcuts, and survival-mode living. But Melodies of the Sphere is not a story of despair. It is a call back home. Let's enjoy the journey.
