Kuina is a tough girl with a shitty past and an abusive father she swore to kill. Instead, she gets thrown into a crazy world with a System that makes her level up from bloody battles… and from being with women.
She builds a wild harem of dangerous, seductive, and broken girls each one giving her power in their own way. Now she has to decide: will she use that power to burn the world down, or learn that maybe love really can beat hate?
First of all, it looks like something happened to issue 2 page 12 and the rest of the issue because right part is significantly smaller in size than the left and has upscaling and/or compression artifacts.
For the story-telling aspect, well, there is a saying "If your character's enemies are weak then so is your character" and your work is a prominent example of this because punching practically helpless enemies and then cheating out of combat doesn't make your character look strong, it make your character look like a Mary-Sue. Just like balancing a combat system in a video game, planning environments and balancing combat in a comic is a very difficult process and you can’t just skip it and expect everything to turn-out fine.
Speaking of other technical aspects, it looks like issue 3 took quite a nosedive in terms of quality: character's anatomy is all over the place, body proportions constantly change, facial features slide across the face, almost every 3\4 head turn look like a skewed frontal, environments reduced to colored backdrops and most importantly, action and story dynamics is reduced to a few dynamic poses with little to no progression. You don’t have to polish your work into perfection but at least a minimally acceptable quality and consistency must be maintained and again, planning, balancing and using environments instead of backdrops is essential for an action comic; cutting corners should not harm the end product too much.
Oh, and what the hell is going on with that halfway censorship, seriously, either show everything as it is or cover everything up, doing it halfway through is extremely annoying and makes no sense whatsoever, we already heard the story about birds and bees and we already know how things are supposed to look like!
@SpectreFirst: Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, I appreciate you taking the time.
Regarding the partial censorship — I don’t want to show genitalia because it violates platform rules, and this series isn’t meant to be hentai. I keep everything within the guidelines, which is why some scenes are censored in a limited way.
As for Issue 3, that chapter was drawn by a different artist, and he was still new to manga-style paneling, anatomy, and consistency. The series is based on a full novel, so adapting it to manga sometimes creates challenges with pacing and storyboarding, especially for new artists.
I’m already improving the workflow for future chapters, and your critique helps me know what to focus on. Thanks again!
