Stasis–A world where all of God’s creations stand still at the eternal hour of 6:59 p.m. Those who cannot maintain their sense of identity within the frozen world turn into its guardians, the Heralds. Though their name invokes thoughts of divinity, their appearance could not be more sinister. Sagawa continues his bizarre ascension as he acclimates to the Herald’s power. And after being struck down, Tobino transforms into one of Stasis’s grotesque denizens. With the birth of a new Herald, deviations begin to form within Stasis. Meanwhile, another member of the Yukawa family awakens to special powers.
Juri’s “decision” to destroy the main stone, thereby sacrificing herself, ultimately alters the very modality of the battle within Stasis. After switching his allegiance to the Yukawas, in an attempt to get rid of any bad blood, Shiomi tells them everything he knows about Sagawa...including his “true objective.” While Juri still clings to hopes of avoiding a confrontation with Sagawa, Shiomi quickly dashes them by informing her of the harsh reality of the situation.
