JACKY

Jacky is a stubborn, sharp-tongued dog with an angry face, a constantly wagging tail, and absolutely no interest in being the perfectly obedient, happy pet everyone expects him to be. Tired of having his personality misunderstood, he escapes his comfortable home and ventures into a bustling city, determined to discover freedom on his own terms. But the city has its own rules, and happiness is no longer just an emotion—it is a business. Behind the city's cheerful advertisements and friendly storefronts operates the Smile Index, a surveillance system developed and exploited by Gloss Systems. By measuring facial expressions and behavior, the system assigns emotional scores that influence businesses, workers, and access to essential services. When Jacky's contradictory expressions confuse its algorithms, he becomes an unexpected anomaly. His unusual appearance attracts public attention, turning him into a viral sensation and a valuable commercial opportunity.
