LOOK AT MY EYES!

Every night, more people in the city fall asleep smiling and never wake up. Eden's brother Dorian has been stuck in a coma for months, seemingly unrelated to the sickness, and now Eden's own health looks like it's turning the same kind of wrong. Frequent blackouts make Eden worry that whatever has his brother so sick is coming for him next. His relationship with sleep couldn't be more strained, especially amongst the new sleeping epidemic. While most people are forcing themselves awake in fear of being next, Eden can't close his eyes without a ghost kid and something with too many teeth showing up in the dark with him. He can't move, can't breathe, can't cry for help, and most of all, he can't tell anyone, because who's going to believe that it's anything more than a sleep paralysis induced hallucination? Between hospital visits and cracking jokes at his brother's bedside just to feel normal for five minutes, Eden is barely holding it together. A single memory of the night lightning hit them both makes one thing clear though: whatever's happening to Dorian didn't start with the coma. It started a long time ago. And it's not done with Eden yet.
