The prototype for this story was a real cat Shafa, who survived an airstrike in Borodyanka and lived for some time in a destroyed high-rise building until she was rescued by volunteers.
I was inspired to write this story by the Chivas cat, whom I met in one of the shelters in the city of Kyiv on February 25, where I was hiding together with my loved ones and our cat named Basya.
I was promoted by one of these cars that I saw near Borodyanka. Shot, with the inscription "Children" on the front glass. In the middle there is blood, pieces of brains and teeth. There is a small child's chair in the back seat, and next to it, under a broken animal carrier, there is a dead cat.
The basis for this story is a real fact. Due to the activity of beavers, many rivers overflowed their banks, forming thick mud swamps instead of roads. Thus, turning the border with Belarus into a continuous "beaver fortress", making it difficult for the russian army to attack Ukraine.
