house rules

A desperate message from her missing brother draws paramedic Mara Bell to an isolated farmhouse on Bellwether Moor. Instead of a rescue, she finds herself trapped alongside three strangers at the dinner table of the Rook family. Elias, Ada, Vera and Cal offer their captives a bargain: survive their twisted games and earn a way home. But the rules keep changing, the escape routes are traps, and beneath the family’s polite smiles lurk monstrous mutant forms—and an insatiable appetite for human flesh. As Mara searches for her brother, Jude, the prisoners uncover a ledger of missing victims, an old service bell and something ancient beating beneath the floorboards. The house itself is part of the nightmare, and the Rooks’ games have one purpose: make their guests turn against each other. To survive, the captives must trust one another, uncover the family’s terrible secret and challenge the rules before their own names become another entry in the guestbook. **Every family has rules. The Rooks have an appetite.**
