Chapter Two: No Way Back In the aftermath of the attack, Jungle is left paralyzed and Biggie wakes up in the hospital with his jaw wired shut. Detective Hector Ruiz Jr. begins investigating the shooting, but Slim keeps quiet about the bag of Lotus he escaped with—and the deadly demand attached to it. With Biggie hospitalized, Slim is forced to finish the Safari delivery route alone. His inexperience nearly gets him hurt at a corner store until Shine, a respected neighborhood hustler, steps in and saves him. Shine leaves Slim with some hard-earned advice and a glimpse of the confidence he will need to survive the streets. Later that night, Slim returns home and tries to act normal around his mother, Kim, and younger brother, Trey. But the pressure of rent, bills, and Brass’s $70,000 deadline weighs heavily on him. When Slim visits Biggie at the hospital, the two realize that running is no longer an option. To survive, they will need a crew, a headquarters, and a plan. The Hooligans are about to be born.
