The city says Malcolm Knox is dead. Carthage BioSystems still considers him property. When Nurse Tasha Bell uncovers sealed records connecting Malcolm’s disappearance to fifteen-year-old Jamal Price, Carthage moves to silence her. At the same time, Duke Bellamy uses food, money, and paid bills to pull Jamal away from Knox House Boxing. With city inspectors threatening to close his gym and Detective Serena Vale investigating his falsified death, Malcolm attacks Duke’s operation looking for answers.
