God is hungry

In 1873, a family of poor, African-American sharecroppers search for a cure for their autistic daughter and her prophetic nightmares. Their journey takes them to the mysterious Riddle family, who have been waiting for the little girl. They murder May’s family and take her as tribute to their ancient blood god. As the Riddles’ path of violence stretches across the landscape, May must fight for her survival or be fed to the nameless god. And god is hungry.
