Chapter 4: The Price Of Evolution

As Evaris and Maeris continue exploring the limits of their evolution, they discover that their growing abilities come with new possibilities and dangerous consequences. With Veyra’s guidance, the two take on a series of guild quests, hunting supernatural creatures and acquiring new abilities in their pursuit of greater strength. Their journey eventually leads them deep into a remote mountain range, where an unusual assignment brings them face-to-face with two mysterious and powerful beings: an ancient witch and a Grim Reaper. What begins as another opportunity to evolve quickly becomes one of their greatest challenges yet. Forced into dangerous confrontations, Evaris and Maeris must push their abilities to their limits against opponents unlike any they have encountered before. After emerging victorious and returning to Vespera, they discover that something troubling has happened during their absence. Security throughout the city has increased dramatically, and the powerful Ironhowl Wolfpack has mysteriously disappeared. With Varkhar, the very werewolf Evaris previously confronted, among the missing, unsettling questions begin to emerge. As the Vespera Guild prepares an expedition to investigate the disappearance, Evaris and Maeris find themselves drawn toward a mystery that may reveal the true price of their evolution.
