In Echoes of the Monolith – Volume 7 (Chapters 61–70), the team descends into Floor -5, known as the Upwell, an anomalous subterranean expanse where gravity inverts, dust and debris fall upward, and the dead air seems to learn and mimic their voices. As they navigate this treacherous realm under strict survival rules of tight tethers and shallow breathing, the scout Sira vanishes without a trace, leaving behind only her lit lamp and chalk markings. Pushing forward through the mounting psychological and physical strain of the void, the remaining group encounters Rowan, who moves through the inverted abyss by throwing stones to build a bridge against the gravity-defying sea.
