Dyak #2

Within the oldest places of the Earth are doorways that lead to another world - a world where the beings of myth and legend come from... and for as long as they can remember, the Dyaks - the people of Tanjungnagara - have lived with that world in their lives. They call it the Spirit World, for that is where their gods and monsters come from. The Spirit World has not only given them the knowledge to survive and prosper, but also revealed to them the terrors that lurk within. As a child, Mirah came face-to-face with this terror when her village was attacked and her parents killed. She was spared a similar fate when she was rescued by Ilang, a Gerasi warrior from the Spirit World, who took her back and raised her according to their ways. Now as an adult, with Ilang and the warhog Boboi, Mirah stalks the jungles of Tanjungnagara as a Huntsmen - a slayer of malevolent spirits - hoping to save others from the terrors that she was not spared. But the more she walks the path between two worlds, the more the lines blur between the good spirits and the monsters.
