DeepBound Volume 2

DEEPBOUND — VOLUME 2 Synopsis The descent was only the beginning. After barely surviving the Fallen Depths, Ren Vale has learned a brutal truth: in the Inner World, courage and survival instincts can only take you so far. To survive what lies ahead, he needs something he has never possessed — a Serum. But Ren is no ordinary human. Born on the surface, his body contains no trace of the alien biology that grants the people of the Inner World their extraordinary abilities. Taking a Serum could give him the power he desperately needs… or kill him. When Sera Kain discovers evidence of an ancient biological practice hidden within the mysterious Greenwild, the two decide to leave Lumen in search of answers. There’s just one problem. Black Needle isn’t finished with them. With dangerous Serum users standing in their way, Ren and Sera must fight to escape the organization’s grasp and venture into a region where nature follows its own rules. There, they encounter Ilya, a fierce young pathfinder who has every reason to distrust outsiders — especially anyone connected to Black Needle. As forgotten secrets begin to surface, Ren finally discovers an ability of his own. One that seems almost useless. To fight, he must close his eyes. In a world filled with monsters, ancient mysteries, and powers beyond human understanding, Ren must learn that sometimes the only way forward… …is to face the darkness.
