Issue 3 “Search & Sublimation” - In the present day, Jared begins searching for a missing young man named Darren, using old police connections and street contacts to investigate a new drug circulating through gay nightlife. Through conversations with Anne, with dealer-turned-witness Allen, and later with bartender Jack, Jared pieces together a pattern of disappearances tied to a mysterious couple and a glowing substance that causes violent hallucinations, self-harm, and a euphoric psychic pull. At the same time, Cyon experiences flashes of Darren’s suffering and begins understanding that his own abilities may be the key to finding him. By the end of the issue, Jared and Cyon are fully pulled into the same case, united by Darren’s disappearance and the unnerving possibility that something supernatural is hiding behind the drug ring.
