Works and Days

Before starting work at her new assignment, the laundry workshop, Yutori is moved into a single cell. There, she discovers a philosophy book on the shelf that clearly isn’t hers. Who could it belong to? Then Yutori begins work in the laundry, where she meets Makisaka, the inmate in charge of the laundry work group. Makisaka is gay—and he can’t stand Yutori, who is effortlessly cute and completely oblivious to it. Before long, he starts giving her a hard time.
