In 1999, compliance officer Edie Carn is assigned to review records recovered from Crestmoor—the psychiatric institution where she spent three years as a teenager. The job should be simple: catalogue the evidence before the abandoned hospital is demolished. But the files describe events before they happened. Transcripts contradict the people who recorded them.
