The fairies drop in on an illegal travelling circus that's exploiting its mistreated Otherworld creatures. Meanwhile Addison gets caught in the middle of a prison riot spurred on by a sadistic bigot.
The fairies travel to South Africa on a rescue mission for the kidnapped daughter of a petrol mogul. In prison, Addison is shaken to her core when she has a face to face encounter with the widow of the man she mistakenly killed.
The fairies need to divide and concur to continue their pursuit of Ndidi and her kidnappers while simultaneously fighting off an assassin jackal named Shakir. In prison the weight of guilt starts to weigh heavier and heavier on Addison's shoulder.
Enora, Kiani and Cinnia run afoul of some violent protestors while Aela and Brietta struggle in Shakir's captivity. Meanwhile the Grayford prison staff begins to question Addison's sanity after some concerning episodes.
Addison is shipped off to a psychiatric facility where she meets the new band of misfits she'll be living with. Meanwhile the fairies travel to South Korea in search of new answers regarding Addison't lineage.
Kiani finds ways to entertain herself while she's held hostage by Tan and his thugs. Meanwhile the rest of the fairies hunt down a Tenome so they can trade it's eyes for Kiani's life. At Braystone Addison becomes better acquainted with her fellow guests.
The fairies finally find an audience with the mystic shaman, Ji-Hu Kyung who gives them some new startling information about Addison's bloodline and sends them on the next leg of their quest. Addison and her new friends explore the some of the abandoned sections of the Braystone Facility and make a shocking discovery.
The fairies have to take down a rampaging Nien and stop it from destroying a town before they can finally come face to face with a Necromancer named Cesar in the hopes of summoning a ghost with information. Addison helps Stacy avoid therapy after Doctor Gamal's aggressive tactics makes them both uneasy.
Addison wakes up deep in the basements of Braystone and finds out her time there has been meticulously orchestrated with some very dark intentions. Meanwhile the fairies are caught in the middle of a violent riot outside that they need to escape if they're to help Addy.
