What begins as a simple act of plunder soon turns into a desperate race for survival when the relic awakens ancient forces that have been waiting for centuries for a new bearer. Pursued by assassins, monsters and the fanatical Heirs of the Serpent, Conan discovers that the Sphere is not merely an object of power, but the key to breaking the seal that keeps an entity linked to the cult of Set imprisoned. Every battle strengthens the artefact’s influence over its bearer, pitting the Cimmerian not only against enemies of flesh and blood, but also against the dark desires it stirs within him. Along the way, he will find allies as dangerous as they are indispensable: Kaerys, a mysterious sorceress marked by a past linked to the forbidden temples of Set, and Khalir, a warrior consumed by vengeance whose life was destroyed by the very cult that now pursues Conan. United by necessity rather than trust, they must traverse corrupt cities, forgotten temples and kingdoms where reality merges with nightmare.
