**AWAKENED: THE DEMON WITHIN** Four hundred years ago, mysterious towers called **Dungeons** appeared across the world, changing humanity forever. Filled with monsters, traps, treasures, ancient ruins, bosses, and mysterious Dungeon Cores, they created a new age where some humans awakened supernatural abilities and became known as **Awakened**. Seventeen-year-old **Kai Kurokawa** is a brilliant academy student from a loving family. He dreams of becoming one of the world's strongest Awakened. During his Awakening Ceremony, something strange happens. The sky turns black, the Awakening Crystal changes, and Kai receives an unexpected result: **F-RANK MAGE.** Determined to become stronger, Kai begins training. Soon, his grandfather gives him an ancient black book bearing a terrifying mask. The book can write mysterious tasks by itself. During Kai's first Dungeon raid, a hidden betrayal sends him falling to the ninth floor. There, the ancient book awakens and pulls Kai into a mysterious mental space. Inside, Kai meets a masked figure surrounded by blue flames and lightning. The mysterious figure becomes his guide and begins training him. Kai soon realizes his F-Rank Mage awakening may not be the whole truth. As he fights through the Dungeon, Kai uncovers ancient secrets and forgotten powers. He doesn't know why the book chose him—or what is waiting inside him. **Something ancient is waiting to awaken.**
