Athulya : The Curseborn

Long before Saptarcis existed, two brothers held power that could unmake the world: Andhak, the elder — cold, detached, barely registering people as anything but tools — and Keksha, the younger, who carried fire and taught seven disciples the techniques that became Fire Forms. Their war ended with Andhak defeated but not destroyed; his will fractured into monstrous Shraap that have hunted the world ever since. Today, Saptarcis is the public, taxpayer-funded institution in India that trains hunters to fight them. Everyone bonds with an animal Beast; everyone trains a Fire Form, the only thing that can actually kill a Shraap.
