Apple Girl describes the inner journey of its protagonist, Nica, as she struggles to make peace with her body and self-image. Due to forms of body shaming by family, friends, and other factors, Nica developed habits that made her hate herself and her body. As Nica realized how unhappy she was, she began to actively change her mindset and ways--she must break the negative views of her form by accepting and loving herself.
