Midnight falls over Sokkath, bringing with it a climate far more aggressive than usual. Beneath the foggy lights of the streets of Sokkath, Iggdra guides Vero to his home, opening up to her for the first time about the true nature of this merciless planet. It will be Vero’s first night with the duo, and both Iggdra and Zephyr, each in their own way, hope the girl can feel safe… or at least as close to safety as Sokkath allows. Meanwhile, far from any shelter, Zephyr endures the consequences of pushing his power too far. Red Hazard does not forgive, and his body is beginning to pay the price. Sokkath’s future grows increasingly uncertain. With Zephyr wounded and the board of the Axis already in motion, no good news seems to be on the horizon. Will they achieve their goals? Will Zephyr be able to recover… in time? Only time will tell.
