CHAPTER 5 - THE LINE BETWEEN TRUTH AND TRUST

Back at Iliga University, Cassy expects an ordinary day of law school—but a challenging case soon forces her to question what truly separates fact, evidence, and truth. As a sharp new rival, Drei Monteverede, challenges her reasoning, Melo’s unexpectedly keen understanding of the case begins attracting attention of its own. Outside the classroom, Cassy faces a far more personal question. Melo has protected her more than once, yet the truth about who he really is remains hidden behind answers he refuses to give. She knows she can be grateful to him. She knows she wants to believe him. But trust is not the same as knowing the truth. And as another pair of eyes begins watching Melo more closely, the line between the two becomes harder to ignore.
