Picking up right after the underwater encounters in Volume 3, the threat escalates as Indra the Serpent targets the fragile underwater community. Eita is torn between two classic gaming options: jump into a high-risk battle to protect a populace that is too proud to ask for his help, or make a classic, self-preserving tactical retreat. Complicating matters further, Steela, the Witch of the Deep, warns Eita that this conflict is just the tip of the iceberg and that he will soon be forced to make an even more momentous, irreversible decision regarding the fate of Re-Verse.
