With his magical gauntlet successfully repaired following his journey through the minotaur labyrinth in Volume 2, Eita thinks he has finally earned a break. He finds himself in a seaside paradise surrounded by sun, sand, and girls in bikinis playing volleyball. It seems like his ultimate anime dream come true, except for the fact that all the girls are mythological half-animal beast-folk. The relaxation is short-lived. Eita's beach fantasy quickly dissolves into a nightmare when a giant mechanical squid sent by the invading Gigas empire crashes the party, unleashing chaos. To counter this new ocean-based threat, Eita, Aero, Jawea, and their new minotaur companion Asterio must venture away from the shore to track down a legendary figure known as Steela, the Witch of the Deep. However, before they can secure her help to protect the coastal regions, Eita must face off against an incredibly murky and dangerous underwater opponent: the evil Angler.
