Neal is a boy infected by the polluted air of a world covered in flowers. Raised in a village of infected people, he learned that death was only a matter of time. During a journey to find an ancient zoo, he meets Helen, a survivor with little time left to remain outside. Determined to make the most of every moment, Helen shows Neal the small things that make life worth living before their time runs out.
