A 29-year old man, Eugene "Gene" Jenkins, is both subjectively and socially--a loser! He struggles to stay employed throughout his 20s, quit community college at 19 because he's not "mentally gifted," and has pushed away everyone who has gotten too close due to his own insecurities. Now, "almost 30..." and living with his three siblings, at his elder sister's apartment--he decides to try something cliché, but developmental! The church? The army? The manosphere? No! The newly opened dojo across town that is offering a one month trial of "no charge" classes! Will the drill sergeant sensei's militant assessment of his first two students make or break Gene's spirit?
