i'm working on 2 paintings for the release, but to do that i've decided to really get into learning how to paint better. I have a lot of experience painting but painting mostly out of your head is a whole other ball game. So i'm doing that this week and next. I've got 12 paintings on the go, hopefully 2 of them work out. I've got all the pages scanned and ready to go, just this extra stuff is what's taking up my time.

sort of finished page 26, but i will probably come back to it. i'm redoing portions of page 24. There's 5 pages in this chapter so it's technically done, but im working on the next chapter as well, its 6 pages, but i haven't decided if i will release them together or separate.

on page 19. i made a huge change to how i work starting on page 17, which has some pros and cons. I decided to forego penciling altogether and just work straight in inks. The main reason for the changes is speed of page completion, a desire to have a sort of 'life' to the inking that i wasn't getting before, and last of all, a change in the focus of my work to be more art - based and less illustration based. The trade off for this change is less craftmanship, less accuracy, less slickness. Anyway, its all experimental and the good thing is no one is looking, no one cares and i can just make some giant change without any blowback.

inking page 14. just humming along at a snail's pace :^) I'm probably a bit ocd on trying to get things right, then i finish something and its NOT alright. ... But at some point i decide it's time to move on.
