Private First Class Matthew Long found himself in the unfortunate position of losing all of his limbs shortly after enlisting in the Galactic Marine Corps. The young Marine was given the choice to join an exclusive group of veterans whose lost limbs made them eligible for cybernetic replacement. The program is known as Amissio Membri. Because all candidates are mandated to report to therapy sessions, this entry details how a brief deployment to a satellite mining facility landed PFC Long a spot in the "Mechanics"—a small recon unit of cybernetically enhanced Marines.
