It feels like the story has found more of its pace by now. And it's much easier to read when there's no adults to be furious at. "Lub Moo" isn't too far off, but you'd really have to be in that mindset to get it, and he is so SO not there yet. I mean we do need to address that this minor was planning to unalive himself. Which again I'm so frustrated that was brushed off. Like mom you seem nice, BUT PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD IN THERAPY. Intending to do it and getting affairs in order beforehand is very alarming. He still clearly doesn't like himself or trust most other people. There's so so much that needs to be unpacked and addressed, and he shouldn't be doing that alone or even thinking it's "not a problem". He's a teenager and clearly depressed (well I'm not going to diagnose him, but he's clearly not "okay"). He doesn't even seem to understand his own mental health. This is where the people that care about us in life, ESPECIALLY THE ADULTS, have to step in, notice these things (namely a son saying he planned to make the ultimate final decision), and provide the support that's needed.

Nope. The adults are still infuriating. Or none existent. Even his mom whose nice is umm... well the tone is just off. I get that she was exasperated but I feel like "I just found out my son tried to kill himself." should have more weight to it. And probably be an ongoing conversation. Is why he wanted to die important and making sure he doesn't still feel that way? Like oh my god I want to punch all these adults in their face. Who even gets suspended for jumping into water? Did they even try to investigate?? I hope the school apologizes. Well why should they when none of the adults have and are just treating everything like they have nothing to do with it. These are children. And for gods sake it is not okay to hit a kid that came to apologize no matter what they did when they were in *checks notes* ELEMENTARY school. Ugh.

Lord this was actually infuriating. What's with the trope of Japanese Manga having school children act like sociopaths? All while the teacher doesn't actually address the situation and keeps playing the blame game until it escalates out of control 🤦🏿‍♂️ and then still plays the blame game after as if these aren't all children. I hate all those people too Mr. Main Character. Not that he's much better but I'm honestly surprised he decided to grow up on his own when everyone sold him out at the drop of a hat. Actually God is that supposed to be the lesson? I really hope not.
