I'm not a fan on seeing the Desheen smacking Paris in the face I think it's really a disservice considering that Tom Paris is a veteran of the Delta quadrant and he knows species 8472 so he might have trauma but he wouldn't be cowering in a corner with his child. Tom Paris is not a fighter but he sure as hell not useless or someone hiding he has been in Starfleet long enough to know how to be conditioned for conflicts.he isn't some fresh cadet,it doesn't make sense. It cheapens the character of Deheen and further us from strong female character like Janeway, Belona,O'Hura and so on.....
