In this world, words don’t just describe reality—they shape it. Noel Cross is a quiet high school student who discovers he has a dangerous gift: the power to say “No.” Not just socially. Not just morally. Ontologically. When something false, destructive, or manipulative presses in on the world around him, he can refuse it—and reality bends. But he’s not the only one who’s heard the call. Victor “Party” Partytime has embraced a different word: “Yes.” Fueled by charisma, conviction, and a belief that he’s chosen for something greater, Victor manifests powers drawn from Scripture and religious slogans—regeneration by faith alone, a massive sword forged from the Word itself, and a growing sense that history is on his side. What begins as a rivalry on a school track field escalates into a metaphysical duel. Knives become doctrines. Slogans become weapons. Prayer becomes counterattack. As their clash intensifies, the line between spiritual influence and personal choice begins to fracture—and the fate of their city hangs in the balance. Cross✚Word is a battle-shonen about conscience, consent, and identity. It asks a simple but dangerous question: If every voice in the world is asking for your “yes”… what happens when you refuse? Volume 1 collects Chapters 1–14, concluding with “Imago Dei,” the end of Part One.
