Humanities Studio is the indie comic studio by a guy who grew up reading Tolkien and Lewis, staring at Maxfield Parrish and E.H. Shepherd illustrations, and listening to The Smashing Pumpkins. We're currently publishing Open Your Eyes: A fairy tale about a boy trapped in a cursed hotel. Cursed be the fool who destroys wonder.

Chapter 1: The Hotel Europa

Free

Able and his family check into the Hotel Europa, a seaside resort in the middle of nowhere and the last place Able wants to spend his summer vacation. But the hotel is not what it appeared on the website: a huge labyrinth of roped off rooms managed by four strange sisters. Able befriends Fortuna, a hotel employee, and explores some of the older rooms of the hotel with her. On one of these excursions his little sister Ellie vanishes, seemingly kidnapped by a group of foxes. Frantic, Able attempts to alert his parents only to discover that they are asleep and won't wake up.
