Hello, Griot Nation!
Yes, it's been a minute. But, so much has been happening these past couple of months into Griot Enterprises' 25th anniversary.
First, Griot Enterprises own Jiba Molei Anderson was a participant of the 2024 BIPOC POP comic book conference at the University of Texas at Austin. A good time was had by all at this intersection of comics and academia, race, gender, and culture.
Here's a little anecdote on the conference from the man himself:
"During BIPOC POP 2024, a young lady came to my table. As I was telling her about the books, I could tell that she was getting emotional. I stepped out from my table to offer her a hug. Through her tears, she told me that she was biracial, her father being African American. She said that she always felt out of place, not knowing where she belonged. She was an artist and that her father was her biggest cheerleader on her artistic journey. In seeing my work, she said that she saw herself and was so happy to see people who looked like her represented in comics.
This is why I do what I do."

As we turn 25, Griot Enterprises is on the move!
The first stop on our year-long celebration is Michigan State University Comics Forum on February 2 -4. We’ve got new books coming and working hard to bring our stories, and characters, to a wider audience, but we need your help.
How can you help? It’s simple...

The Horsemen creator Jiba Molei Anderson will be making his first convention appearance at the Michigan State University Comics Forum and working on generating $3000.00 by Feb. 1 for this event. Help us out by spreading the word and purchasing a book or two. And stay tuned. The next chapter of The New Mythology Saga, The Horsemen: Mark of the Cloven Vol. 02 - Heavy is the Crown is coming soon...
