Not really bad but not great. Ra's kills to save the planet is an interesting concept, as well as the position Batman is put in, but it comes off as "Ra's & Bruce, Climate Activists." Could have had much more nuance and a deeper resolution. Everything else was good though.

Woah. Stuff like this is a big reason I read Batman. I felt really gripped by the character and I could relate to him. I also appreciated the broader conversation within the material. I think the note about his design as "Clay" speaks exactly to what the authors were doing here. It's bright colors and Hollywood, but beneath the surface is pure, classic horror. Perfect.

That's what I'm talking about. THIS is the stuff right here. I loved Bane just by reading Knightfall (the first part) but this is contributing to my feelings that he's one of my favorite characters.

My final read in this series and the only one I flat out do not like. I think Robin's dialogue is fun but beyond that, this was not my Freeze and it was not my Batman. The author doesn't understand Batman and made some ridiculous decisions for Freeze which I can't get over. Won't read it again.
