The Mechanic: ISSUE 1

Gears, magic, and total chaos converge in the debut issue of THE MECHANIC! For eighteen long years, the clockwork realm of Quorros has been nearly cut off from the steam-powered magic of the Dusk Realm. To the corrupt King Solan, magic is a forbidden threat; to twenty-two-year-old Dayna Windwillow, it’s the only key to finding her long-lost parents and finishing a secret, soul-forged masterpiece.  When a high-speed heist through the bustling streets of Quorros City nets Dayna a set of rare, illegal Mana Spheres, she triggers a city-wide manhunt led by Gaston LeCoeur—a cyborg bounty hunter who won't stop until she's in a royal dungeon.  Retreating to Mr. Porter’s Junkyard Emporium, Dayna harnesses the spheres to awaken Marko, a resurrected warrior trapped inside a massive, battle-ready automaton. But as gears turn and ancient machinery roars back to life, the magical pulse reopens the long-sealed Dusk Realm portal, unleashing terrifying beasts and a dark prophecy: Dayna isn't just a gifted tinkerer... she is the "Dawn Child," destined to either save Quorros or tear it apart.  High-octane steampunk action meets epic fantasy in this full-color, 29-page sci-fi adventure by veteran artist Joël Séguin and writer extraordinaire Mark Bertolini
