This site seems like it is primarily for mainstream comics... so is it even worth it to try adding your own independent comic into the mix?
The forums in general seem pretty dead and of all the sites I have begun exploring for independent comic makers, this has been the most dead and lifeless in terms of ANY interactions.
I even started an AMA thread here last week (I have a successful indie comic and wanted to give advice to any up and comers) and it got literally 0 comments or interactions. But here's the thing, I also posted the EXACT same AMA at the exact same time to Comicfury.com and it got a TON of immediate comments and has been crazy with genuine human interaction: See for yourself.
So yeah, not trying to throw shade to this site but I was just genuinely wondering if any independent comic makers have found an audience here?

My webcomic is vertical but I made it into pages for the book I produced. I'd be willing to throw you the first few chapters for publication if you decide to make more issues.
Two things:
1) My comic has massive reader-appeal, it's been viewed over 25 million times simply through word-of-mouth
2) My comic looks normal at first glance but is INSANE and mentally takes you somewhere completely crazy, which is one of the reasons for point #1
My webcomic is also world-changing and saves the lives of children. So you'd be doing something really great by spreading it to more people. But I understand if point #2 makes this something that won't fit, and I take no offense.

I don't want to give away too much but it is a TRUE story... that most wouldn't believe. And it is not for the faint of heart, it is VERY VERY VERY crazy and beginning the story should not be taken lightly.
I know that sounds like a clever marketing pitch, but I promise it is not. It is a legit warning.
Anyways, the popularity of the English version has been enormous so I am working with a friend to start publishing the chapters in French. So if you speak that language or have any friends/family in Canada/France, please spread the word!!!

This comic doesn't just "entertain" (if that is the right word) it is also a very serious act of activism. Reading it WILL save children's lives. And again, that's a straight FACT, not a marketing ploy. If you don't believe me, give it a look (or google it). It is completely free so you have nothing to lose.
